We are a Scout-led Troop of approx. 60 Scouts, based in St. James, NY. We like to camp, cook outdoors, present our talents with skits & music, earn Merit Badges, build Eagle Scout projects and help out in our local community.

SCOUTING EVENTS
Wed., June 24: Summer Camping Parent/Scout Meeting 7:30 PM at the Sons of Norway Hall (corner of 4th Ave. & 7th St., St. James)
July 12-18: TEN MILE RIVER SUMMER CAMP (See information at right)
July 19-25: BAITING HOLLOW SUMMER CAMP (See information at right)
Aug. 13-16: ADIRONDACK TRIP WITH TROOP 301 Troop 301 is returning to the Adirondacks this year and has invited Troop 7 to join them. This is a high adventure back-packing trip for boys in the 8th grade (as of Sept.) and older. It will be a 4 day trip, August 13 to 16 and you will carry everything including your food in and out. We will probably hike 6 or more mountains in the 4 days. We can hike in parties of up to 20 or so people, but we must camp in groups no larger than 8. Therefore for every 6 scouts there needs to be two adults, one preferably being a Uniformed leader. Last year we averaged about 10-15 miles with day packs on days 2 and 3. If there are two adults from Troop 7 who are interested in hiking then we are willing to open up a new group and then 6 more spots. If there is a demand we can even go for three groups. All who are interested need to be signed up put down a $50 deposit by Monday June 22. The trip will run about $100-125 and some money for breakfast and dinner the first day. TEN MILE RIVER SUMMER CAMP (7/12-7/18): Troop 7 is returning to Ten Mile River Scout Camp (near Monticello, NY, 150 miles from SJ) for the week of July 12-18. Click HERE to visit their website. BAITING HOLLOW SUMMER CAMP (7/19-7/25): Troop 7 is also returning to Baiting Hollow Scout Camp the week of July 19-25. Click HERE to visit their website. BHSC is geared towards 1st, 2nd & 3rd year Scouts where they can achieve Scout, Tenderfoot & 2nd-Class rank through the Brownsea program and accomplish some Merit Badges. Summer Performing Arts Camp
Musical Theatre Workshop for Ages 7 to 15, that includes Acting, Voice, Dance & Improvisation at the Stony Brook Community Methodist Church, 216 Christian Ave., Stony Brook Session 1: June 29th - July 17th Session 2: July 20th - August 7th. Classes will meet Monday - Friday from 9 am to 3 pm
